Privacy policy

BookedFoal helps stallion stations manage breeding contracts and helps mare owners keep track of their contracts. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored securely; we never see it in plain text). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them.
- Breeding records: information you or a stallion station enter, such as stallions, mares, pedigrees, contracts, shipment dates, pregnancy results, notes, invoices and payments recorded.
- Contact details for mare owners that a stallion station enters to manage their contracts, including owners who don’t have an account.
- Basic technical information needed to keep you signed in and the service secure, such as session cookies.
How we use it
- To provide the service: show contracts to the station and the mare owner on them, send invoices, reminders, contract updates and account emails.
- To keep accounts and data secure and to prevent misuse.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
- Stallion stations see the contracts, mares and contact details for the bookings made with them, limited by the permissions each staff member has.
- Mare owners see their own contracts, invoices and their mares. Notes a station marks as private are never shown to owners, and owners’ private notes are never shown to stations.
- Service providers who run parts of BookedFoal for us: Supabase (database and sign-in), Netlify (website hosting), Resend (email delivery), Google and Apple (if you choose to sign in with them), and, if online payments are used, Stripe. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
Your choices
- You can update your account details at any time.
- You can ask us to delete your account. Contract and invoice records a stallion station keeps for its business may be retained by that station.
- You can contact us with any privacy question.
Security
Information is stored with access controls that limit each person to the records they’re allowed to see, and is sent over encrypted connections.
